Hi anyone on 254,
I am working on making a robot concept for the WCP design challenge and I now started working on making an intake for the ELECTROLYTES game piece that is a 5” diameter wiffle balls same as the “fuel” game piece from the 2017 game. I want to copy your intake from that year so I know that the dimensions I land on have a high likelihood of working. I know this is not needed for a CADathon but is good practice for a real season. Following the motto of “Steal from the best, invent the rest” I want to ask the anyone that I know have a good working design before I try to sketch something else up. I have some main questions listed here:
-
Do you mind posting any screen shots of your cad if you can find it with the spastic intake dimensions. I know some info from your tech binder but it would be good to also know the roller c-c distance and the distance off the ground the first roller is.
-
Are there any major lessons learned from making the ball path of that robot? Things that worked well, things to avoid?
-
With the drivetrain of choice now being swerve would you have changed anything about your robot design from that year?
