Team 254: Powder Coating Oven For Sale

Team 254 is selling our powder coating oven. We bought a full kitted LA2500B LA2500B Small Powder Coating Oven – Light Armor, Inc.

  • 6’ Height
  • Convection Fan
  • Ceiling Hangers
  • Casters
  • Oven Window
  • Power Cord and Receptacle
We also upgraded this oven with more insulative seals; we are asking for $3700. We would prefer to sell to a local California team that can pick this up. To sweeten the deal, I can show you how to powder coat. Please DM me if you are interested.

Yes! Both our 2022 and our 2023 robots were coated by happily unpaid freshman.

…how much more insulative?

Playing with the configuration editor at your link, I’m not getting much over $2k to order new before expedite fees, so I’m trying to understand how much of a selling point the better seals are, or if the availability is one of the selling points.

seems to work fine for me. this is without tax or shipping

EDIT: this is just the cost of extras, whoops

No expedite, $500 in warranty and $400 on crating

As I understand the website, that total at the bottom of the box is what you’re paying over the base of $1700. So as you have it configured you’re paying $4600, not $2900.

We are going to be a silver robot next year, no more powder coating.

Just kidding, we did not have shop space and so we needed a smaller oven that we could wheel away. Thankfully we now have space to install a permanent oven.

That would be it :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Not to derail the conversation, but I’m intrigued by the wedge you show for your battery. If it’s been discussed before, I couldn’t find it. Do you have a model of that somewhere that’s been shared?

This thing cooks.
