Team 3044 Thanks You

As a rookie team, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made towards building a better robot and the FRC and its goals.

Team 3044 started this year and attended the Finger Lakes Regional in Rochester NY. We didn’t win any awards or even pass the qualifying matches.

However, somewhere between running back and forth between programming, web design and repairing Vince, I gain a large appreciation for the First Community and the many people who make it up. It’s Because of this that I would like to thank all of our sponsors such as Ballston Spa National Bank, and Teams like 1511 who’s assistance with plenty of Labview questions we had helped us be as successful as we were the past few days in building a better robot, as well as all other teams who attended for Participating in FIRST and showing us how team spirit and gracious professionalism helped lead us to our ultimate goal of competing with a functional robot this year. With only 3 very inexperienced programmers (who had to learn Labview in only months time with he assistance of Eric Van Wyk and Greg for NI), and a build team who worked diligently, we managed to floor a fully functional robot including autonomous mode and we are very proud of our progress.

Thank you everyone for giving us this very appreciated welcome to FIRST
We hope to continue to contribute and that you will accept us in your community. Without the community, the teams involved, the helped of many mentors, and determination, we wouldn’t have made it so far

Thank You Everyone
and good luck

Jared,

It was a pleasure to meet you all, and we look forward to having Ballston Spa come visit us in future FLR regionals. Next time - if you’re having trouble in mid-season - don’t forget that the same FIRST community you experienced personally at FLR is an extended electronic family too. There is no shame at all in asking for help, online, via email or through CD. There are always people willing to help - especially for Rookie teams.

You folks put on a good effort with a solid first year robot. I’m sure next year you’ll be a force to be reckoned with. After all - you can always have some linux with your fries

Cheers,
Lee
