I created a small web page devoted to our team. The page contains a short story about our team and a bunch of pictures of our team. Included in the pictures are our two controversial matches in which robots were tipped.

(BTW, our team doesn’t have an official web site, this is just my personal web space.)

It looks like you linked your images to your hard drive. For the mean time you can see the pictures by cutting and pasting the picture name (xxx.jpg) to the end of the web address or by going to the below link and clicking on the images.

Yea, thats why i dont like those HTML programs like Front Page and all the rest.
They do goofy things with the graphics.

This was my first attempt at using Front Page. I always used to do my web pages by hand. I guess I learned a lesson.
Anyway, the page is fixed now.
BTW, not notepad, Boxer!

I expect that any day now you are going to start singing the praises of VI (a UNIX text editor).
I can remember the days when I thought, ‘Mice aren’t for REAL computer users!’
Back in my grad school days, I could make that old VI edit files that would make your head swim.
Why is my screen getting all blurry and my mouse pad all wet? What’s this salty fluid dripping down my cheeks?
Ah well, time marches on…

Or how about workstations that made you feel as though you were at helm
of the Starship Enterprise! Appollo, Intergraf. Big wrap-around consoles!
Disk drives that could heat a 2000 sq. ft. home…in Buffalo…in January.
Floppy disks that really were floppy. PCs you programmed in ‘assembly’.
What ever happened to the good old Franklins - the pre-IBMs? 256k hard drives!

If it makes you feel better. My college still teaches assembly, and requries it of all CS Majors. (we had a punch card reader up till 5 years ago)

Just like all good engineering programs include some honest to goodness putting lines on paper drafting, assembly language is a required skill.
Sometimes it is required just to remind us what the heck is going on down in the bowels of these wonderfully powerful devices.
It is also required sometimes, because there is no other way to get the code tight enough to do the job in the space limits required.
So…
Don’t dis assembly
