Team 330 has a new Eagle Scout

I haven’t seen this on chief at all, so I felt obligated to post it.

Sam Couch of 330 (class of 2009, CD name SamC) achieved Eagle Scout with the best Eagle Scout project I have heard of anyone do.

Congratulations Sam.

Congrats Sam! I know how hard you’ve worked towards being an Eagle Scout!
Have a great holiday break!

WOW! I remember meeting him at IRI last year.

Congratulation Sam on such a high honor!:]

Congratulations Sam!

Definitely a very cool project. Congrats!

WOW …

Speaking as an Eagle Scout and father of a disabled child I want to say congratulations and Thank you. Your achieving Eagle speaks volumes about you and your working with the disabled is truly special.

You are a hero in my book and I hope to meet you someday …

As the father of an Eagle Scout and a former scoutmaster, I understand how much work it takes and how hard it is to earn the rank. Being on a FIRST teams makes the accomplishment doubly hard. Big congratulations from me and Team 829.

Way to go Sam Couch. Nice job on your project.

Congratulations! That is an excellent project, you must’ve had lots of great pictures to document it with.

Congratulations!

Congratulations Sam! Well deserved.

Well done, Sam! Your project has made a big impact on those teens. Keep up the good work!

Well done Sam! Congratulations!

Being a Boy Scout myself, I would have to say that is one of the best projects I have seen. At least in our area of the country, it seems as if almost every project involves landscaping. It is certainly a change for the better to see these kind of projects!

I have heard this a couple times before that scouting has basically the same core values as FIRST, and it is great to see when people get involved in both!!

Happy holidays,
McGurky

Sam,
I would also like to add my congratulations on such a high honor. Your project sounds challenging and extremely giving. I hope the youth you worked with had a great time. So many of our teams have members who are achieving Eagle (Boy Scout’s highest honor) and Gold Awards (Girl Scouts highest honor) and we should help celebrate their achievements.
I owe you a handshake the next time we meet. Please look me up.

From one Eagle Scout to another, well done and congratulations. (Makes my project, done in 1982, seem trivial!)

Congratulations, Sam - to you and to those who have supported you in this effort. It is a magnificent milestone.

Adam - thank you for providing this opportunity for us to learn of Sam’s achievement.

I find it uplifting whenever I hear of scouts achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

Thank you for being a pillar of your community!

Sam, congratulations on this milestone. It’s a great accomplishment.

Wow. Great project, well deserved.

Since the beginning of consciousness, Man has striven for immortality. While science may extend our biological lives, living a long time is not immortality. Instead, it is when people remember us, for what we did when we were alive.

Here is a man - not a kid, not a young man, but a real, full-fledged man in my book - who will be remembered by many: The people he so graciously gave his time and energy to, and their families for certain, along with the community at large. Imagine what else he’ll accomplish in life!

It’s not often we hear of someone so selfless, but WOW here’s one hero right here in our midst. Bravo.
