Ok, so the peg is actually 2 inches higher than the real peg

dont you think its a little slow going up?
This gives me good hope. We are doing something similar.
Nope I don’t think so because we can extend it as we go from the feeder slot to the pegs for one, and two I was only giving it 25-30% power.
Glad to hear it! Do you have a team website or pics?
Ethan
Our team kinda wants to keep it secret right now. We are still designing. I’ll tell you that ours uses some never before seen materials (at least by me) in a FIRST robot.
Okay haha, You’ll have to let me know when you release that secret
There is also the possibility of raising the arm as you go towards your scoring pegs buying you possibly saving a second or two. 3637’s lift looks like it can do that to me with it being sturdy.
Yeah, we plan on doing that. It will also protect the arm which sticks out of the bumper radius.

It looks good, and with more space to maneuver, it can be very effective.
One thing: Where are the safety glasses? ::ouch::
Yeah we are getting more space when it moves back to the school this week.
Ummmm we are all robots with replaceable eyeballs duhhhhhhh xD. Ill make sure we are wearing glasses next time.

Good luck with the scissor lift, hope it holds up for you- Just don’t get hit from the side! Is the drivetrain 6wd or mechanum?
The scissor lift is actually very sturdy, it doesn’t shake much at all. Also its 6WD with the middle 2 wheels offset lower.
good luck, i have just seen how the changing mechanical advantage in a scissor lift can cause you problems!
Nicely done! Your lift seems extremely accurate, and it wasn’t that slow for using 25% power.
The real question is: What’s with the dog?
