Team 3929 Rookie Robot

Chestnut Hill District 14th seed, 8th captain (for 30 seconds :p), 7th overall pick, and Rookie All Star! Very proud of all the students and driveteam for their growth during the competition.

All of these awesome rookie robots are making ours look funny :stuck_out_tongue:

Here is some video of one of our later matches.

By the end of the event we had our autonomous tuned a bit better and were able to balance on the bridge on our own decently quickly. Double balancing is still a bit tricky.

I am very proud of my drivers, they actually had very little practice before the event but still managed to drive and shooter pretty well.

Congrats on a great looking robot you folks got there.
Its great seeing former students become mentors, inspiring others in the area of STEM.

Good luck this season!

Thank you Glenn! It helps being surrounded by great role models such as yourself and 359. I am not the only FRC alum turned mentor on this team.

Jay Lopez- UPenn Senior, 191 X-Cat alum, Mechanical engineering
Ben Letter- Drexel alum, 191 X-Cat alum, Navy Engineer
Jason Marcus-Drexel Freshman, 1923 MidKnight Inventor alum, Mechancial engineer
Danielle Sisk- Drexel Freshman, 2493 Robokong alum, Electrical engineering

We’ve got quite a nice pool of talent here

Teams 3929 want to thank are 341 and 357 for providing us with everything we needed to train out students in the offseason and then continuing their charity towards us during build season.

Teams and individuals I want to thank personally are 1323, 1477, 2415, Justin Foss & Jared Miller, Jared Russell of 341, Aren Hill, Dustin Benedict and Rene Haro of 399. You guys have all been an amazing resource for me and my team this season.

Akash,

Congrats on this wonderful achievement. You and your fellow mentors have greatly impacted your team’s students well beyond what you realize.

Sincerely,
Andy Baker

Congrats again to your entire team! To build such a solid robot in your first year, and represent your team so well in the stiff competition is a huge achievement. As a mentor sitting in the stands next to your team and talking with some of the students, it was an honor to be with you in the quarterfinals. Just wish it could have lasted longer!
Keep up the great work and hope to compete with you again soon!
