Team 527's Website

I guess I’m finally happy enough with the content on my teams site to post it on here and see what you all think. Here is the URL:

http://www.plainedgeschools.org/hsrobotics

It’s the site I made for my team, here’s a list of features.

News:
Just basic updates and news articles about our team and first robotics in general. There will be more as soon as the season starts because during preseason, news stories are rather limited.

Full comment system:
This is the latest addition to the site and the one that I am most exited about. Now team members can log in and post comments on just about all of the content on the site. I also decided not to limit it to only team members and now everyone can register and post comments! So I hope to see some of you joining in on the conversations.

Member List:
A list of all of the current members of Team 527, alumni who want to be able to log in to the site, and a list of other people who have registered with the site to post comments.

Web Journal:
A detailed journal of our progress that is updated every week.

Calendar:
To keep all of our members updated and informed about team meetings and events.

Image and Movie Galleries:
Pictures and movies of our most memberable times.

Forums:
A place for team members and FIRST lovers to come and chat.

Live Web Cam:
This is still quite buggy and will be a main focus of our web team for the next week is our live web cam to show us in the shop while we are working.

Other
Its all w3c compatible and everything from the content to the back-end administration panel of the website to the design was made from scratch by members of Team 527

Thanks for you time, and I look forward to suggestions and comments. =D

I like the overall layout of the site, very clean, you didn’t get too over the top with the techy type stuff. The content is awesome, I like the live webcam idea. I didn’t get to see the cam because it was offline, what does it display?

Well, it will only be online when we are in the shop (1 room book closet converted to shop =P) and it’s and overview of the shop … kinda like in the place a security camera would be. Eventuall I’ll post a schedule up when I get some time.

The live cam is a cool idea.

The “posted by xxx” on the front page is being padded down too much or something, as the dashed underline for the title of the news article is running right through it. At least in Firefox 1.0 anyway.

nice videos lol
