Team 540's website

Still under construction, but it looks cool and has a good links page. We are going to try to set it up as a good resource for all teams.

anybody have any feedback

questions, comments, criticisms, insults?

its nice looking, well at least when i first got there, i noticed a small graphics glitch where the left and right top images didnt line up but then i was going to a few places and had stuff open up in weird places and new windows. You might want to test each link and make sure it does what you want. It’s got a lot of nice potential though.

are you using an iBook?

Is this in reference to my name? No, i actually use an iMac, that i’ve dubbed the iBob.

there is a known issue with the gallery prog we are using that messes up on iBooks and iMacs. Powerbooks and G4s are fine though. Not a huge issue since most people don’t use macs anyway, but wierd nonetheless

I kind of take offense to that, if you want to be a good site you should take into acount everyone, i even look at my site in linux as to make sure EVERYONE looks at it in a good way. A lot of ppl do use Macs btw. I have suggestion on how to fix your problem too. Make the whole top and image and then the bottom of the side an image… in other words, re-slice your image. That way it’s more likely not to come out wierd, and if it does it won’t throw off your design as much. If you don’t quite understand what I mean send me a pm.

as a matter of fact, I am on an iBook right now.

The goal of our website is “free and easy”

We are using a gallery creation and maintenance program that we were allowed to use free of charge. It makes uploading pictures very easy. Unfortunately we there is the issue with low-performance macs, which we are helping the vendor to fix. But it is low on the priority list because most of the programming people are tied up with the robot.

Thank you for your feedback

Please, I honestly think frames are bad for sites. As Gadget stated in another thread, frames are not browser friendly. I might sound hypocritical about this, because robocards uses frames, and I’m webmaster of it, but I didn’t do the frames. If it was my choice, I’d take them off, but I’m not allowed to. It’s just as easy to do a site without frames as it is with frames.
