Sick!! The cover photo is awesome, although if you’re going for the light painting look I might recommend keeping the bot still and camera on a tripod, then taking a long exposure shot while moving a light bar behind and around the bot

Also whoever’s flying the drone in the reveal is a beast :ok_hand::ok_hand:

You can intake on all 4 sides??? I need to see that intake

Great looking bot, again! Hopefully we get some matches together at EBR or Sacramento.

Sorry this is super late but basically it’s a double-sided intake on one side a la (4481) rembrants with compliant star wheels on the outside to sweep towards the belly pan where our intake then grabs it. This is an old photo(changes since here have been to move the sweepers more inwards and cut them down to not violate the frame perimeter and drive both sides independently because the poly cord at the bottom was not transferring torque well and the new independent power allows us to pass notes under the robot for more auto options)

Parts of the compliant star stick out past the FP. Do you bend it for starting config, or is it legal?

I’m interested in the note path for the three, non-roller sides. In the video it seems like notes travel from the side and back quite seamlessly—how are they routed through the large space in the middle?

Thanks for the question,

The students discovered that the complaint start rollers impart enough random inertia to the notes. They end up in the intake w/o additional motivation (usually)

There were plans to install a polybelt feeder along the bottom at one point but it was determined to be DOF with minimal ROI

Yeah we moved the sweepers deeper in the belly pan and also cut them down a little with sizzors.

It actually gets stuck under there sometimes especially with older used notes. Usually the note can kinda just bounce around until hitting the sweepers until it hits the intake and gets swept up
