Hello from Team 5557, we were concerned about the material that we could use for the rope climb. We saw some other teams use a velcro like material and couldn’t find anything in the rule book against using velcro. Is velcro a legal material to use on our robot and for the rope. But, in short, so long as you use the hook part of the velcro, there’s no adhesive backing, and you make sure to use sewing for any attachment, then yes, you should be fine.
Why do you specify the hook part for the rope? Is your understanding that the loop part is not legal on the rope or that the loop part not legal on the robot?
