Team 6814 is looking for mentors! [NorCal]

Hello!

Ellipse 6814 is looking for technical and non-technical mentors!

We are a high school team based out of Sonoma Academy in Santa Rosa (Sonoma County). In our rookie season, we snagged ourselves a Rookie Inspiration award and a Rookie All-star award, taking us to Houston Champs. We’re looking to improve even more going into the 2019 season!

Specific areas we’re looking for help with:

  • Prototyping
  • Design
  • CAD
  • Manufacturing
  • Graphic design and media
  • Grant writing and technical writing
  • Marketing

Mentor requirements:

  • Be willing to help teach and guide inexperienced but passionate students
  • Pass a background check and have fingerprints on file (private-school stuff).
  • Be able to come in at least twice a week during the build season

Mentor benefits:

  • We have a really
nice build space and we’re shaping up to have a good sized budget
  • Team members are friendly and motivated
  • Our team has the ability to meet all day (that’s 9am and onward) for the first two weeks of the build season
  • Sometimes there’s pizza

Please reach out to me by following up on this thread and/or emailing me at [email protected]

Thank you!

““Benefit””

The real question that I know is on everyone’s mind is do you have field-relative positioning through non-linear state estimation?

Are you kidding? It’s practically the first thing I was taught when I joined the FRC Discord.

I don’t appreciate you making a mockery of the topic.

I expect it from the child that is Bailey, but not from chiefdelphi at large.
