Here is video of us testing the drive train at the practice field provided by Lockheed Martin this weekend.
is that 8 IFI’s im spotting… if so that thing has to be a pain to turn
Well done team 704!!!
Nice.
After watching the video again, it doesn’t look like it’s too hard for them to turn. If the wheels are oriented right then turning with high traction wheels is easy…
But back on topic though, sweet video. I loved the tip save you pulled off there.
Sweet robot!
Would love to see a video of you guys turning the corner and blasting through the tunnel!
Great job guys!
That’s sweet
Wow, looks like another great robot from the folks at Grand Prairie!
I can’t wait to see her at full strength in Dallas and Houston.
Hope all is well. Let me know if you guys want to come play on our field at some point.

Go 8WD!
We look a lot the same going over the bump, although we have yet to do it with everything fully “kitted out”.
Have you seen the video 488 posted of going over the bump and landing on a ball. Might be worth testing out… as much for avoiding penalties as for robot stability.
Nice practice field!

I’m really impressed with Lockheed Martin building this awesome field for teams !
Dallas,TX has come along way from 5 teams in 2008 !
Great looking robot 704 !
The DiscoBots would love to win another Lone Star Regional with you guys again this year !
yeah… I watched it again and it’s not as bad as I thought… I mean it’s not going to turn as smoothly as if you were going to use KOP AndyMarks but it’s going to be a hard robot to push around this year
That was cool. The one thought i have though is that when you are going up the bump there is a serious angle on your robot and what happens if you get bumped going over the bump.
We might flip on our side, but if we do I’ll spin our wheels and we will probably stand back up.
