Video? I’m not really sure what this robot does from the description.
From looking at it, I don’t see a shooter, so I assume it is a climber/dumper (They also have “climber” and “dumper” in the description)
Yep, its a climber/dumper
Awesome! Can’t wait to see it in action.
So, if it’s 2WD, I’m guessing the Hi-Grip wheels in the center are the only driven ones?
EDIT: I actually gave it a significantly deeper look and realized that this was an absurd question.
And you guys just love your Dewalt Gearboxes :yikes:
What goals can it dump in, and what level can it climb to?
Looks great. Judging by the file name, I assume you call the robot “Ember?” Carrying on the ‘E’ theme from “Eve” last year I see? Can’t wait to see you guys at Mount Olive and Bridgewater (and then hopefully Lehigh!)!
Its not finalized yet so well have to see… but thats one idea
It dumps into the level 1 goal and climbs to the third.
Also, Steve… yeah the HiGrips are the only powered wheels
And… Dewalt gearboxes all the way
Does it dump into the pyramid goal after climbing to the 3rd level? Do you have any video of it in action? I’m eager to see how it works :].
We don’t have a video although I wish we did.
It does dump into the pyramid goal.
I would assume that it does.
Any particular reason for choosing Regolith wheels for the back wheels?
Interesting design. See you at Mt. Olive!
Do you have a practice bot?
Yeah, through our testing we had less control with casters… with the regolith wheels we nearly the same amount of friction while maintaining the direction we want to go in
It looks pretty sweet. Congratulations guys! We’ll see you at Bridgewater-Raritan (and of course Lehigh, we hope)…
Well see you there!!!
Yep, its being developed
