Team 781 proudly presents our 2016 robot (whom is yet to be named):

Some Specs:

  • 8 wheel drive. Four pneumatic, four wedgetop
  • Two speed 2 CIM VEXPro Ball Shifter gearboxes
  • NavX and IP Camera (with ring light :wink: )
  • Rotating shooter
  • Shooter wheels powered by 775Pros with speed control
  • Intake mechanism for fast and reliable intake
  • Shoots high and low goal
  • Low bar capable
  • Capable of category A, B, and D defense breaching

Not included is our scaler (maybe?). Stay tuned for our upcoming reveal video (perhaps… actually probably not).

Hey great job at the Buckeye Regional. Team 5740’s season is all done but we hope that those who were in our regionals can make it to the Championship. Good luck!

For anyone interested, the robot has been named Duncan, in honour of a CEO of a local employer (Bruce Power) that has supported our team for its entire existence (15 years this season). He is retiring this year, and we wanted to commemorate that.
