Are your flywheels spinning at the same speed or is one going slower to give it a spin?

Top is faster yes.

Looks good! The ability to control your spin is awesome. For the climb, do the pneumatic cylinders lift the whole bot, then the hook grabs the bar and then the cylinders retract?

Love the color scheme

Can’t wait to see it in action!

Disregard previous post: Computer was accidentally logged in on another account.

Yes that’s how we climb. It was a non-technical mentors idea and we ran with it. We have plans to convert to a winch if we don’t like how it works in competition. We can sit there and it they will retract automatically when disabled at the end of the match if we haven’t already.

Looks great Scott! Good luck in districts.

Thanks

Maybe I’m thinking about this wrong, but wouldn’t spinning the top roller faster give the ball front-spin not backspin? So the magnus effect would be hurting rather than helping, and the ball would jump up (and maybe out) when it hits the goal, rather than down
