I searched the white papers but couldnt find a related document. Does any team have a team business plan that I could take a look at? Even just the outline for one! I’ve started a light draft, but it would be really great with a model. This is for a grant. Thanks!
Hi! We created a very simple business plan earlier in the year. Note: This is also the first business plan we’ve ever created… so we’re not exactly masters! Good luck with yours, and here is ours:
Mission Statement:
To develop a sustainable, year-round FIRST team that brings together a diverse body of students, parents, and mentors for a fun and inspirational learning experience in engineering and teamwork.
Structure:
The team is comprised of the following entities:
• Students
• Teachers
• Parents
• Sponsor mentors
Student leadership is comprised of a team captain, two co-captains and eight sub-team leaders. All leaders are elected annually by the students

Parents, mentors, and teachers are free to choose their own structures and leadership.

- Participate in off-season competitions
- Continue fund-raising efforts off-season
- Off-season tutorials from engineers and parents given to students

- Small Engineer-Student Ratio
- Fun and understandable demonstrations and/or lectures on fundamental engineering topics for both new and veteran team students.
- Robot is primarily student designed

we have a huge business plan that explains all the goals and how we will acheive them, its a little too big (88 pages) So I will see if we have an outline to show.
