Team Buttons

I would like to try and collect every team button out there for my team, Team 1675 The Ultimate Protection Squad. If any team would like to send a button to me for the team I would greatly appreciate it. You can email me at [email protected] to get further information. This would be greatly appreciated!

Could be interestingā€¦ we have 200+ different buttons! ā€œ200 Uses of Duct Tapeā€

those are fun to getā€¦if i get only one button in a season, i make sure itā€™s from 467

Could anyone please help my team with button designing ?
First question is, is there any kind of software you use for that ?

as far as i know, my team used microsoft publisher ( i know, itā€™s evil and all thatā€¦:o ) but you could use pretty much any program that has a template for the size button you decide to use. if they donā€™t have a specific template for buttons, you could use one for round stickers.

Surely you have a 1676 button from last year at Buckeye, but if not, PM me with your mail address and Iā€™ll send a 2008 oneā€¦

Don

I have all the buttons which were handed out during the championship.
Have your team given them at the event ? If so, then Iā€™ll look for it in my collection.

MS Paint. Draw a circle, put in our design, copy-paste into Word and resize to I believe 2.25". One page can hold 6 ā€œbuttonsā€ and the empty space that gets folded over by the button maker. Then I skip a day of class and crank them out by hand with a teacherā€™s button maker.

Thanks for the advice.
First, we donā€™t have button makers at schools.
Second, I have skipped so many pointless lessons, that the next time I do, I will get into trouble and I donā€™t want to have that 3 months before high school graduation.

We did give out buttons last year at the Championship. They are cooler this year but if you have one from last year then that is good too!

We were in the Curie division.

Weā€™ve both buttons, which are more traditional, and magnets, which are cooler. The magnets have been in use for a couple of years, but our buttons have stayed the same for a while, too. Do you want both?

I would love both! pretty much anything that teams were handing out.

We use publisher as well, but we also use Adobe Illustrator. Both programs work well for us.

We hand make our buttons every year out of foam core. The pig face on the rocket stays the same and then each year we customize it to the game. Its work but its different than everyone elses.

last year (our rookie year), an art class had an assignment of making some kind of robotics picture, we picked one out for our shirts and then picked a couple of others out for buttons. This year someone on our team drew 3 different designs and we used them for our buttons this year.

Do you mean team 476? We try hard to make really cool buttons.

MARS gets out its team ā€œblingā€ on Friday & Sat. Look for us in the stands. We give out buttons (modified each year for the game -2007 incorporated a red FIRST keeper in the outer boarder; 2008 has a speedometer in the background), and our parents donate give-away itemsā€¦ they went a little wild this year.

Look for inflatable MARS aliens & guitars (popular leftovers from a team Guitar Hero fundraiser), small parachutring aliens, alien bouncy balls & red/black beads.

Did I mention our parents went a little wild donating stuff this year?!

Iā€™ll try to remember to send some items (esp. butttons) to team 1675ā€™s pit if youā€™ll be in GA.

We have 4 button versions this year.

ā€¦ which is a significant decrease from the 12 versions in 05, the 8 versions in 06, and the 5 (I think) versions in 07.

Come by our pits (FRC Team 1089) and make sure you collect them all! =)
Iā€™ll try my best to stop by your pit and drop some off, but Iā€™ll be busy with FTC this weekend.

All we have is Dog Tags :
I can get u one of those if u can use it

have your pants every feel down from weight of buttons 'cause its so funny
:yikes:
