Hi guys!!
I’m trying to come up with a second team chant for the Goon Squads 2025 season, but I want it to be unique like our current chant;

(student, sometimes helped by mentor to get extra loud): HEY YOU GUYS!!! I GOT A QUESTION FOR YA!!! WHO ARE WE?

(group): GOON SQUAD!
(student): GOON SQUAD!
(group): GOON SQUAD!
(student): GOON SQUAD!
(group): GOON SQUAD!
(student): YEAHHH!!!
(group): WOOOO!!!
(coaches): WE LOVE YOU DRIVE TEAM!

I’d REALLY appreciate it if yall could help us think of something new cause we have had this chant forEVER and it’s mostly us just yelling goonsquad.
If you guys just want to post your team chant just to share that would be awesome!! i love seeing the creativity this community has💜

What we generally have are the following:

Team Number chant

Call - 11 what?

Response - 89!

(Repeat 3 times)

Team Motto “We’re All Gearheads” chant

Call - When I say we’re all you say Gearheads, We’re All

Response - Gearheads

Call - We’re All

Response - Gearheads

Call - We’re All

Response - Gearheads!!!

We also do the generic “way to go drive team” and “Red Alliance/Blue Alliance”

There have been some others in the past, but that’s what we currently generally do.

You’ve had it forever but we love it!

This also works for any Bee themed teams… Buzzing like bees though instead of engine noises. And the Audience gets to be confused about what they are possibly spelling until the punchline hits.

usually the drive team screams 25 and then our people in the stands respond with 37

My team’s chant happens to live in the minds of the PNW district. If you can make a catchy enough chant, it’ll get stuck in everyone’s heads.

A student usually starts the chant or a younger mentor like @Revision0 will do it if we’re on a time crunch. We make it work best we can!

My two favorites are:

2, 4, 6, 8
We are Team Appreciate!

We believe that we’ll do great
Let us show you what we’ve got
We’re the Henry Patribots!

Given those two examples, it seems like a good way to make a memorable chant is to rhyme your team number with some sort of chant that includes your name.

We won’t talk about my team chant. It’s random, ridiculous, and always gets noticed…

Flea, Flea Fly, Flea Fly Flow,
La Vista. . . . and so on.

Is this one still being used:

I say, Hey, it’s cold in here
There must be some logic in the atmosphere

(Marquette Michigan team, if I recall correctly. I know I heard it a lot in Escanaba.)
