The Maintenance staff at the school “installed” our Level 2 platform a few days ago. The girls found that the solutions they orginaly thought of probably will not work. They are having trouble figuring out some new solutions…

I might not be looking at it right, but that doesn’t look quite correct to me.
Is it just that lip at the bottom? Or are you talking about the level 3 of the hab? Even so that looks like a bit more than 19inches (from level 1)

The level 2 hab should not be that tall unless I am just looking at the wrong thing. I recommend reviewing the measurements.
The fact that the school maintenance folks are willing to help you out is good.
The problem is… “with friends like these, who needs enemies?” Also: Do they even know how to read the drawings???
So what’s the “full” backstory?

It looks like the Maintenance Department thought “that’s the prettiest pallet we’ve ever seen” and used it as a barrier to prevent people from parking in front of some access doors. We also found some panels that should have gone on the sides of the Level 3 platform that had been taken by and the construction crew putting new turf on the soccer field. They were screwed to some pieces from the Level 1 platform to make a barrier to block entry onto the field. Lastly, we found some brand new home-made sawhorses made from materials that the team bought.
They are considering sending the girls from the FLL team to ask for the Level 1 platform back. A parent suggested wiping onions on their cheeks first…

Of course my next question is going to be how much your school has your back. If they have your back, I’d suggest simply removing all the items Maintenance took from where Maintenance took them, and then posting signs on your space doors saying something about “Ask permission before removing anything from this space” (or more evilly, just making Maintenance build a full Hab from scratch at their department’s expense). If the school admin doesn’t… well, I suggest the FLL team be commenting about how “even our little sisters know better than to take our stuff without asking, how could you be so mean”.
