Team Websites?

What sneaky things have you found when making a team website? My team is using Wordpress for our website.

Not sure what you mean by “sneaky”, but I know our team has used Weebly for our website for the last several years and it’s served us pretty well for a free host.

Mostly we’ve stuck with it because it requires zero HTML knowledge to manage.

We use squarespace and it’s really annoying to use, blocks get formatted strangely and it takes a while to figure out how to fix it.
However, it does look pretty good when done.
Here is our team’s website:

A couple of our new programmers snuck a game onto our team’s website.

Be careful not to lose yourself in the endzone.

Our web designer has made a really well-designed and -programmed “meet the robots” section with highlights of each individual robot since our first year in 2008.

Team 1002 uses WordPress for our website. It’s pretty simple, and we can have logins for each team lead to add on to their section.
Here it is:

Our team also uses Wordpress. It’s simple and easy, with the ability to have multiple blog authors.
You can check us out at kbotics.ca

Garnet Squadron is also using Wordpress.

We use wordpress, and a customized theme. I’m actually the webmaster, so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

We use WikiMedia for our website. The concept was that this would enable a more collaborative site. Not so sure that worked entirely as planned, but it works a little.

We use wordpress.com for our website with the $30 a year custom design option.

My team’s never been that big on social media, including website. We had a cheap GoDaddy one (that is still sadly our main site) which I believe is basic package. I’m currently working on a new one through Wix because it’s free unless you ant and specific designs or a custom domain, but there’s a lot of freedoms to creating and designing it. It also comes with a mobile website that you can edit online at the same time which is a pretty cool option.

We just created a website this year. We ended up using Joomla and found a free hosting website-- a basic template was downloaded and all the css, layout, bottons/menus, and animations were coded to suit the team. It doesn’t look the best, in my opinion, but it suits our purposes. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d say the biggest thing is typography-- changing the text font/size can make the whole website look different without completely redoing previous work.

We use weebly right now. Since it’s easy.
