Teams who have lost finals the least amount of times?

I was wondering what teams have the best win to finalist ratio.

I’m mostly familiar with New England, so I’ll start with some teams I know off the top of my head:

195: 23 Wins and 7x Finalist (3.29 wins per Finalist) (76.6%)
254: 49 Wins and 8x Finalist (6.125 wins per Finalist) (85.9%)
5687: 10 Wins and 1x Finalist (10 wins per Finalist) (90.9%)
2168: 14 Wins and 2x Finalist (7 wins per Finalist) (87.5%)
125: 16x Wins and 14x Finalist (1.14 wins per Finalist) (53.3%)

5727: 0 Wins and 0 Finalists (infinity ratio because 0/0 is indeterminate)

Ha, beat that

rookie year too which is even more impressive

I hope you were talking about 7457? 4414 really isn’t a rookie, as impressive as their robot and season are.

I am assuming that these include District Events? It seems a little skewed if District Events are included.

Your team (3647) also does pretty well by this metric. 3 wins, 0 finalists.

The problem with this metric is that there are many teams that have won 1-3 events and never been finalists. It’s not that impressive unless you have a high win rate AND a high number of wins.

What team has the highest number of wins, and has never been knocked out in the finals? That’s what I want to know.

2910 only has a single finalist, from Einstein last season, and they’ve won 7 events in the past two years, not quite as much a dynasty as some of the teams on this list but give them a few years.

I have probably grossly miscounted

3357 has 11 wins with 4 finalists. 2 finalists were from this year and 1 was from Einsteins last year

1796 has a whopping 11 wins and 0 finalists. That’s gotta be hard to beat.

2054 has been a finalist 19 times with 13 wins or 68% wins if we made it to the finals.

900: 4 wins, 0 finalist
1533: 7 wins, 4 finalist
2655: 7 wins, 2 finalist
2642: 6 wins, 2 finalist

7153 has 2 wins, 0 finalist.

My figures included District Events, because a regional is not equivilant to a district championship, and I figure the numbers would be a little low if we only included Subdivision wins.

Team 48:

10 Regional Winners, 1 Championship Winner (5 of these since 2015)
10 Regional Finalists, 2 Championship Division Finalists (0 since 2015)

Regionals Only - (1 win per finalist) (50.0%)
Overall - (0.92 wins per finalist) (47.8%)

And because I didn’t see them yet:

1114:

39 Regional, District, District Championship, FIRST Championship Division/Subdivision, Einstein Winners
10 Regional, District, District Championship, FIRST Championship Division/Subdivision, Einstein Finalists

(3.90 wins per finalist) (79.6%)
