Last year and even more this year, I’m noticing an increasing use of “Teasers” showing off a small portion of the bot or function.

Just curious how many people go after these? I guess I tend to skip them and wait for the full glory of the “Reveal” but that’s just me. So, I’m more of a “meh”

At this point, I don’t really see an issue with these teasers. Most teams aren’t comfortable releasing a full reveal, but still want to show off their hard work before bag and tag. Many teams who make reveals also use these as intros to their robot when presenting to sponsors, parents, etc. to hype them up and engage them in what the team has been working on for the past six weeks.

Teasers are a fine alternative to high-production reveal videos to show off a bot and its capabilities. I wish we could actually see the robot though…

Yeah, I don’t mind the teasers, and it’s good for the media team to get a feel of it before the big reveal.

Probably what has me not clicking on them after the first few is that there are only so many tasks to view. After seeing the third lift with auto, the only way to tell them apart is by the picture hiding the robot. They may be lifting in a drastically different fashion, but that’s the part you don’t see.

Again, I don’t mind them, but I do get less interested after the first day.

Now full reveals, that I could watch until my eyes bleed, but then I need to seek medical attention.
