Would it be possible to have the hook on top of a pvc telescoping mechanism that leads the hook to the bar and then have wenches at 3 points on the robot to allow it to climb?
It probably would be possible to do that. We used telescoping PVC pipe to support our hanging hook in 2018.
But check the spelling of the word “winches” in your post, you might want to edit.
