Tetrix Servos

Hey guys I am currently working on a CAD design for an arm idea I had for this years FTC game and before i start I wanted to know about how much weight a Tetrix servo could hold. It doesn’t need to be super precise just a decent estimation from past experience. Thanks:)

They can handle a decent amount-- we’ve used them for rotating “wrists” and such with no major issues. The main thing to remember is that it is a servo motor-- the more load you put on it, the slower it will rotate. If you don’t need the precision that a servo offers, just use a DC motor.

Also, in the future, you may want to post in the “Motors”](http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=52) forum when asking technical questions about motors.

There are also the new “Quarter-Scale” servos available this year, which have a much higher torque than the standard tetrix servos do. They are, however, larger and heavier.

To add, there is also a limit of how many you can use on a servo controller due to the fact that they do draw more power.
