Thank you 322 and 176 from 811

322 and 176:

This is a huge Thank you from Team 811 in the 2004 Newton Finals.

We had an awesome run at the division finals… came down to the last match…what an adrenaline rush for all of us…

We all had a great time and hope to see 176 at the Regionals in Sunny New Hampshire next year.

It was a wild ride throughout our matches…

I still am stunned at the match where 176 and 322 were hanging and both fell instantly at the buzzer, that had to be a record for the most points removed from a round in 2004…

Good luck next year …

we should be the ones thanking you two…

its a shame that we didnt go any further than we did, but we made one heck of a run at it. we really should have been in the national finals, but at least the referees came over after the divisional finals and apologised for the missed call (that would have sent us to the national finals). i guess its just bad luck, but hey… we had a great run.

as for our two robots falling at the buzzer, i’ll agree that i’ve never seen so many points lost in so little time.

you two (811 and 176) had awesome robots, and its been an honor competeing with the best.

Here’s a big thanks from Aces High for picking us and working so well with us. Teamwork in the alliance made us all look like world beaters out there.

Looking forward to that sunshine in NH

176 and 811 kicked butt, we should have won but that’s how it goes sometimes. If I would have been using my brain, I would have thought to have the judges remove themselves from the platform before checking if the other team robot was hanging. As the other team noticed, as soon as the weight was off the platform it was touching the wheel of the opponent robot and we would have been on the center field going for gold with that win. Good luck next year, you guys are great. :yikes:
