Thank You 61 and 1099

THANK YOU to 61 and 1099 for being the best alliance we could’ve hoped for, and taking it all the way.

61 - You were impressive all regional, and were definitely at the top of our list, we were EXTREMELY happy that you picked us. You drove great and drove smart. Thanks.

1099 - You were the top of our list for a 3rd partner, and we were ecstatic when you were still available. We knew we needed defense to take the win, and you had what we needed. Your pinning capabilities were awesome, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

On a side note, does anyone know what happened to 1100 in that last match? We were expecting to have to replay, but they went with the scores.

Congratulations to 61, 190, and 1099 on a hard fought win. You produced many exciting matches which I will remember forever!!

Thank you team 190 and 1099

1099- playing some great defense in the elimination matches keeping the opposing alliance bots in check, without your defense we would of never won the regional

190- your team put together a amazing robot, we where EXTREMELY happy when you accepted our invitation, you where consistent, strong, and reliable which are the three things we look for in an alliance partner

on the side note- If what we heard was correct then 1100 radios power had a wiring issue

Thank you both and I hope we see you in Atlanta

Great job guys congrats on the win definitly well deserved

Congratulations to team 190, 61, and 1099 on a great showing at Boston!

Also, it was cool to see what maybe the only other team do a double helix this year nice job 1100.

As for the question about 1100, according to the NI docs: Fast Blink (200ms on / 200ms off) - Low battery or System error: No driver’s station communication, bad cRIO Image, bad team ID, extensive communication errors.

I was a scorer at the Boston regional and from what I heard from the Head Ref, team 1100 did some adjustments during the time out and they rewired the robot incorrectly. So it went for a few seconds then it overheated.

Hi, First of all, Congratulations team 190, 61, and 1099, it was fun to compete against you guys

and as to what happened to us, we did not do re-wiring during a time out on our machine, the only re-wiring we did was after the first match of the quarter finals on 1474 because they were having an issue with the power cutting out and they couldn’t move, but as for us, we incorrectly wired the linksys, we wired it to the 5 volt side, instead of the 12 Volt plug, which we looked around, and I think 2 other teams on the field had it that way. The guy that designed the block explained that he designed it that way because if the voltage drops below 5 volts, it will cut power to most things until it gets above 5 volts, then it will come back on, but if it just spikes down (which is what ours apparently did) it will not recognize that it is above 5 volts and it will not come back on, he said the 5 volt side allows it to get to 3 volts, where as the 12 allows it to get to 5, or something like that. He said inspection should have never let us pass, because we told him that they said we had it right, and apparently they told a couple other teams that as well, because we saw a few other teams wired that way. It is still kind of hard for me to believe that we were running fine for every other match, not even a sign of a problem, through out all of our 5 minute matches on thursday, all of our qual matches, all matches in the elimination rounds, and we were running on our best battery, it was running above 13, when all of our others run around 12 and a half.

I would also like to thank Team 155 and 1474, as they were both great alliance partners, and had it not been for two unforeseen problems, we might have had closer matches in the end (1474 had a bumper dragging and it got them stuck in a corner the first match)- I love all the strategy sessions in between matches.

I have to say, quote of the weekend is probably when the Driver and I walked up to our robot after the match to find out what was going on and we were greeted by the girl with “uhm, you have a problem we have never seen before” and our Driver says “oh, that’s great…”

BTW This is Dan, I am the Drive Team Coach for 1100

here, this is what happened to us

This is Anthony C, a Team Captain of Team 1099, and on behalf of the entire team, I’d like to thank teams 61 and 190 for inviting us into your alliance. You allowed us to play to our strengths and provided us with exceptional scoring teammates, which proved to be a winning formula. It was a job well done for everyone involved, and thanks again to teams 61 and 190. It’s been an honor.
