I would just like to thank team 65 for all of their help this past weekend at the Midwest Regional! From helping us in the pits, to letting us ride down on your bus, you have no idea how much you actually helped us this weekend alone, not counting all the help that we’ve gotten from you in the past.

Also, I would like to thank you for acknowledging our part in the scouting project that was tested this weekend. For other teams that do not the whole story, here goes: we worked with team 65 this weekend to create the beginning of the GM Central Intelligence Agency, a scouting system that will be in full force at the national competition this year. In the awards ceremony Saturday, team 65 recieved the Johnson & Johnson Good Sportsmanship Award for their scouting efforts. Because of the role that we played in their system, team 65 acknowledged our efforts by giving our team one of the two trophies that they recieved for this award. We are looking forward to working with them again at the national competition on the GMCIA, and wish them the best of luck in the rest of the season.

Hey Nate-

I never realized how much fun it would be when the two teams did so many things together. I did not ride the bus except to dinner once, and that was QUITE a ride (we are hooked on the Wal-Mart cheer - those of you who wonder what the heck I am talking about, listen to the teams sometime! :))

The scouting effort is really a collaboration (data gathering, building a database, figuring out how to share it), and I was so proud when our team recognized some KEY parts of the effort by passing the award to you and your team. Thanks to you for the hard work and creativity - I have always been totally impressed.

And next time, go easier on us - that 24-24 tie that you guys won against us is STILL gnawing at me!!! :))
