Thanks 1902

Dear 1902,

Thanks for making my trip to Atlanta one of the most fun things i have ever done,
Thanks for letting me do everything I was hoping too, and more
Thanks for feeding me, a lot.
Thanks for putting up with me for 4 days,
Thanks for giving me a seat on the bus, Raul is probably the coolest bus driver ever, and getting to talk to everyone was alot of fun.
Thanks for letting my stay in the hotel,
Thanks for letting me take over 1,000 pictures,
Thanks for being some of the coolest and nicest people in FIRST…
Thanks for being my friends

You guys are awsome,
I’m so glad I went with you, I had more fun that I have had in a long time. :o
I cant wait to see you guys again next year at UCF and I hope 1557 goes to another regional and we can hook up with you guys.

There’s probably a lot I forgot to mention, but I’m tired from the 9 hour bus ride home :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, and Im gonna see about joining your FTC team, it sounds like alot of fun.

And 1902 has to come to the RUCKUS in kissimme with us!

Adam:

You are more than welcome. We really enjoyed having you with us. Thanks for helping with the scouting, lunches and everything else. You are always welcome to travel with bacon and as for FTC, hey, you already have the paperwork filled out!

As for RUCKUS…we have to get through IRI (we hope) and TNT!

Please post the pictures!!

Yes thank you very much, you are a cool guy and thanks for helping Scott and I with the scouting on day 2 =P

Here is a little anecdote from Atlanta and the awesome team 1902…

My wife had a headache and we were sitting near the Labview booth trying to figure out how to get some water so she could take some aspirin. A student from 1902 heard our conversation and offered us a bottle of water from their pit.

We walked over to get the water and my wife took some aspirin and the headache went away.

Thanks 1902, it may have been a small gesture, but it made a huge impression.

1902 is the nicest team I have met in FIRST and there are alot of nice teams out there I have met in my travels.

I like this equation

4H + FIRST = 1902 & Super Sonic Sparks & …

Rolling Thunder & EMS

Adam, I’m glad you were able to make it to Atlanta. The Championship Event is a great experience, and I wish all FIRST students could make it regardless if their robot is competing or not.

Ed, that is a HUGE statement coming from you. I hope you keep making it to Florida.

agreed! when we got to play with 1902 in the elims in florida, it was really evident that they are indeed the nicest team i have ever met. and, ive seen a lot of teams too. after this season (my 11th in FIRST robotics) 1902 was a good part of what was a great last season for me! so i will say thank you too you guys too! you made my trip to florida and atl more enjoyable (and that says a lot)

ya’ll are awesome! keep it up

1902 has, without a doubt, some of the coolest people on it. One of my favorite memories from Atlanta last year was our epic ultimate Frisbee game with you guys in the park outside. It was low key, simple, but it stuck in my mind for a long time. Maybe it’s because that was combined with the fact that they took Hartford that year. Many times, strong teams aren’t really chill. But, you guys are.

Also, as I recall, last year in Hartford our teams had the first Friday match together so we were sitting on the field and talking during opening ceremonies. That was also very fun. Thanks for making my first driving experience (and possibly the most nervous time of my life) just a little more enjoyable.

1902 is full of great people- I’ve had a fantastic working with them at a few competitions in the past, both as a team member and on the field crew.

Exploding Bacon is a great team! We were at UCF last year and their enthusiasm (and cute piggy hats) were just fantastic!

OINK OINK? BOOM!

you guys are just flat out awesome… when you were in the Hartford regional last year it was amazing…on Thursday when you guys were OINK OINK BOOMING i’m like this team is crazy… but the cheer slowly grew on me and you guys were awesome…

Exploding Bacon’s secret weapon is Wendy. Wendy just loves everyone and that just explodes into the team members and sets the stage.

Wendy is truly a role model that we all look up to.

I give a big Oink Oink Boom to Wendy.

Bacon was the first team Georgie and I encountered when we finally made it to the pits at champs.
Really wonderful people who set the stage for many great encounters that followed.

FYI, this thread made crave bacon so badly that I am now, as I write this, cooking 2 pounds of it. :o
