Thanks and Congrats for Palmetto!

First of all THANK YOU, to all the teams and people that supported us at Palmetto!! No one has ever chee3red for us before this year and I’m really really greatful! So that goes for you team 21: ComBBat!! I was so suprized when I heard “Cutting!” followed by “Edge!” out of you guys, not to mention greatful! (Which of course is why we started your cheer too, lol) Also thank you (for the billionth time) to team 343: Metal-In-Motion, you’ve always supported us and cheered for us at this competition. Another thanks to those guys in team 168 you were also supportive and really cool! MORE thanks to 1051 for picking us to join you (they were 4th seed we were 5th). And thanks to 337 for joining us! And thank you to anyone and everyone who supported us in anyway at this regional. Many of you deffinetly showed Gracious Proffesionalism when we needed help that one time, and I am really and truley greatful!

Okay, so Contratulations to 281, 11 and 122 for winning!! You guys were amazing partners that worked amazingly well together and proved it all the way through the finals! More congratulations go to 343 for winning the Engineering Inspiration Award!

Well congratulations to everybody who won an award of anykind and Good luck at Nationals!

P.S. Who Dat BBat?

<edit>By the way thanks to team 343 for giving us the “Friendliest Team Award”! We really really appreciated that!!</edit>

Let me think of my personal props list…

21-You’ve got the most spirited team I’ve seen (with 180 coming in closely behind). It was fun to sit by y’all.
271-Your good planning is how we won Q73 against 168 and 1319. I was sure we’d be able to mix it up with them, but I didn’t think we’d pull the win by any stretch. Keep on truckin’.
343-I firmly believe that your team cheered for us more than our own team did, especially after Q73. And you helped us try to sort out the programming on Saturday. AAAAAND y’all had one of the few designs that could still hang even if the hook missed! Holy cow!
433-You guys–erm, gals–had a great robot. I hope to see y’all back in the south soon.
1302-I believe that’s the most reliable hanger I saw the whole competition. Amazing for a rookie team.
1398 (Keenan High, whatever their number is)-Rest up your voices. You’ll need that screaming in Atlanta!

I think that’s it. Props also to all of the news folks that came out to cover the event (even if The State said that putting the 2X ball on a goal was worth five points). And to all of the Colonial Center staff that took interest in this thing with a bunch of high schoolers and their robots playing this weird game. Oh, and all of the teachers and students and mentors and parents and curious onlookers that came out. Next year, they’re gonna have to move the curtain back a bit to give everyone a look!

Thanks for the mention guys.
I would like to thank Bellsouth and USC for putting together one of the best regionals I have been to in the last 6 years. The volunteers, judges, refs, and espescially the teams were polite, nice, and made for a fun time. I was happy to see 7 (by my count) UCF teams go to Carolina. By the end of the comp I think every team had at least one good experience with every other team. Congrats to everyone who participated and would like to espescially thank members of 845, 180, 168, 342, 343, 780, 1319, 5 for everything. Our team would love to attend again next year if possible.

Had a blast guys.

Amen. I’d like to give a big thanks to Columbia, SC itself for allowing this regional to take place. To all teams that came, you all did great, and this was the toughest and greatest regional we’ve been to this year.
