I just want to thank the mentors, teachers and parents of the Bomb Squad for all they’ve done. There are many teams who’ve directly benefited from the assistance that Team 16 provides - whether with robot problems or team development. Team 980 thanks you for your help in the pits and beyond.
Both of my son’s, Matthew (Class of '03) and Clayton (Class of '08), have had the privilege of being a part of that outstanding organization. The Bomb Squad exemplifies what a Hall of Fame team in FIRST is all about. The dedication of the adults to their mission statement makes every student of the team a more confident and motivated individual. The team has weathered difficult situations in its history, but the students have always remained the focus.
I’m so happy that the Bomb Squad made it to the “Big Show” on Einstein this year. It was great to hear in the pits and in the stands “Bomb Squad is back!” I assure you, they never went away, but this year things came together and maybe the magic is back.
Thank you and congratulations. May the “magic” stay with you for a long time to come…
I couldn’t agree more. I also want to thank Meredith and her team that put together the Future Hall of Fame display in their booth. That was cool that all the winning CA teams info was in one easy to get to place for review.
Team 16 had another great year, even if their robot was a ‘flop’…
Agreed. Whenever I have a question, ideas, thoughts or anything team 16 is always there and full of solutions, answers, and even more questions to think about! Congratulations on winning Curie and almost being the first Curie alliance to take it all! . On top of that, their HoF booth was interesting. I like the direction you are leading the rest of the teams in.
Hope to see in in Dallas AND Lone Star next year!
Pavan.
PS. Paul, its on like Donkey Kong! All I can say is watch out, Charlie (the firetruck) has a crush!!
Bacon <3’s The Bomb Squad as well, one of the most professional and gracious teams I’ve met in my 8 years in FIRST. It took 8 years to attend a regional with them, but it was quite a pleasure playing with them in Bayou. Gracious, Professional, Competitive, they exemplify what teams should strive to be at competition.
