Two 256 rounds, a 260, a 250 (260 before penalties), and the 305. The 305-30 went about like this: row of 8 on the middle, one below, one robot (team 4) at 12" and team 254 at 4" on 330’s ramps, versus one at 12" on 696’s lift.
i saw it…it was pretty amazing and i t quite literally left me speechless
Cough… 330 scored a row of 8 (256 points) by themselves… uncough
honestly we had 2 amazing defensive allys that kept it open for us to score
330 867 1669 vs. 606 1072 1759 Final Score 256-0
We were allied with Beachbots (330) and Cheesy Poofs (254), and in the first final we beat 980, 696, and 580 with a score of 305-30. We were very lucky to get picked by two excellent scorers (we were defensive).
you guys were great, was that zero after penalties or did they not score
Does anyone here have videos of the LA Finals?
At FLR, 365, 1518, and 340 got 128. We did have a 256, but 354 spoiled. It was so exciting!
LOOPHOLE!!
what if the opposing alliance de-scored three of your ringers, and you placed each on an unscored leg? the de-scored one would still count, per the rules
You dont want to see it, the first round was quite depressing:( .
The second match on the other hand our alliance lost by a hair (literally). Thanks to our alliance partners (980 and 696) for helping us making it that far in the competition; we worked well together and it was a lot of fun.
Here’s a couple matches:
in the final of Socal Regional teams 254, 4, 330 scored 305 points. IT WAS AMAZING:ahh:
I’ve read that some feel that scoring will dramatically increase at nationals. I feel that perhaps it will in prelims, but by the time elim matches roll around, you’re going to have practiced offensive and defensive robots keeping the scores relatively low. I don’t think there’ll be a huge score at nationals in elims, since all the bots would be high-caliber.
During the Finger Lakes Regional, the announcer informed the audience several times that the high score was 316 at the time. Sorry, I have no more details.
That’s the current high score of the season I believe, set by 501, 175 and their third partner whose number keeps escaping me in the quarter finals of the BAE regional. I don’t think it’s been tied or beaten yet.
The third team was us, Team 1824.
And that score was 316-0, a full ring (256 points0 and both robots up on our ramp 12" (60 points) … 256+60=316
That was an amazing match. I believe we put up 5 and 968 put up 4. Completing a ring plus one vertical. It helps to have a robot on your alliance that can play good defense.
At the Bayou Regional the high score was by us and 1421, 2242. Our alliance scored 94-0. Not as high as other regionals but nonetheless there it is. There was a lot of talk about how high the score could get if the top scoring bots could get on the same alliance but it just didn’t seem to happen much with the new match pairings.
This happened at the wisconsin regional… 3 ramp bots (one was also a low scorer) were one of the alliances in the finals… they ended up in second place… even overthrowing the 1st seed alliance in semifinals!!!
Purely amazing… How does everyone forget you guys names! u were a great bot!!!
