Daniel,
I’ll be there! The leave request was approved at the end of May. You can count on me to help queueing and load/in-out – or wherever I’m needed – both Friday and Saturday. Do you have a schedule of events yet?
Team List Update:
While we are holding open our registration till the last possible minute (Wednesday, August 24th), we are now at 21 teams towards our goal of 24. This is an increase from our last pre-covid event. Three more teams. Maybe yours could be one of them.
Here we are with the final Team List for the 2022 Dow Red Stick Rumble. Teams with Bullets next to their names are bringing secondary robots. We will be streaming the games live and will provide links either Friday or Saturday morning.
We want to thank everyone for their amazing performance at the Dow Red Stick Rumble.
First, congratulations to FRC #8044, Denham Venom, Ramageddon Robotics, and HHS Tigerbots FRC Team 2183 for their amazing win at the event. Everyone played so well over the entire competition and we could not be more proud to be part of the FRC Bayou Regional.
This whole event wouldn’t be possible without our amazing sponsor, Dow Chemical Plaquemine with their continued work to inspire students of all ages in STEM fields. Their corporate sponsorship of FIRST is a testament to their pursuit of progress.
We also need to thank Livingston Parish Public Schools, Denham Springs High School, and the Denham Springs High School STEM and Robotics Center for helping us organize and host this event as well as Denham Venom and their FIRST Tech Challenge Team Stinger for running the event.
A big thanks to AndyMark, Inc. for providing both the field and an amazing FTA and DJ Ronnie Roux for his amazing DJ skills and services throughout the entire event. Thank you also goes to First Updates Now and to Spectrum 3847 for streaming our live match videos. And not to be missed, Denham Springs TV for taking pictures and videos of our entire event and Raising Cane’s for providing our volunteer lunches.
Finally, to everyone that attended; from Miss Louisiana USA to Buddy Mincey,Jr.; La State Representative, District 71, to all of the parents and mentors, families and teachers, coaches and our local media - you made this event great and we couldn’t do it without you.
Until next year when we hope to see you at the 10th Annual Dow Red Stick Rumble.
