The FIRST Alliance 2.0 - The World's Most Amazing FRC Stats Portal Ever

Hey guys,

Super excited to announce The FIRST Alliance 2.0 - The World’s Most Amazing FRC Stats Portal Ever! We’ve gone through a major redesign and added support for 2013 competitions, and we’re jazzed to see all the new and cool ways the community uses it.

Also, big shout out to all the developers who’ve been using our API and giving us awesome feedback! We did this for you guys, and love help you create really amazing tools.

Here’s what you can expect from TFA this season:

  1. The “tracking” features users have is still very beta, so we’re going to polish that up quite a bit as well as ad some really compelling gamification features.
  2. You’ll soon be able to go back and view previous season’s data. We have the data, but need to polish up the API/website interface to make this happen.
  3. API tutorials - maybe simple examples showing people how to use our API in popular languages. iOS, Java (android), etc.
  4. So much more, but it’s top secret.

Thanks again for all your support and help. Each time we launch a new version of the site, we’re blown away by the awesome people we get to interact with from literally all over the world. This is why we do it!

I’ll assume these stats are from last year?

Correct, power rankings are not up-to-date yet.

Is there a way to pull archived (old) data? Could you sort by year?

The website needs to explain what the stats mean, how they’re calculated, and what may affect the % error of expected value (which is what OPR implies).

Only then will you 1-up all of the mobile apps.

I’m sure experts in the area would love to give tidbits on Calculated Contribution’s relevance for this year if you ask.
