I am starting a vlog about my team (302) on YouTube. I call it the First FIRST Vlog (I apologize if there is another vlog about FIRST out there that I just haven’t heard of, I don’t mean to steal your thunder. If there is one I’ll change the name of mine, just send me the link of the other vlog). The main point of the vlog is to inform other people about FIRST, but I figure in order to do that more people already involved in FIRST have to spread the word. I only have two videos up right now and I realize they’re not the best, so I would appreciate tips on how to make improvements and ideas for future videos. Thanks for anyone and everyone’s support and/or ideas
She calls it Let’s Talk FIRST, but there are only a handful of videos so far. I am sure she wouldn’t have a problem with you calling yours the first FIRST vlog. Actually, I don’t even know if you would even consider that a vlog.
Okay, I’m a little desperate to keep this thread alive, and I apologize in advance for double-posting, but I have a legitimate question too. I’ve been using Windows Movie Maker Live to edit my videos so far, and while I like using it to edit my videos it takes them three hours to upload! Does anyone have ideas or solutions to make them upload faster?
I have not used window movie maker, but in your export options you should lower the resolution to 480p(the max resolution you have on youtube). Otherwise, find a faster internet connection. Youtube conversion is not exactly speedy, even if your file is as small as possible.
When in doubt, use the time like your code is compiling
also, try to not upload in wide screen if your not going to use the full 16:9. now that could be an issue with the file that was exported from windows movie maker.
I don’t mind at all! And by the way, there are more episodes coming up about Summer FIRST activites. I’m almost done but there’s room for more! Keep submissions coming here! http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1073771
It’s not really a ‘vlog’ so much as an interactive webshow (which, obviously, will be more fleshed out when the season begins…) A vlog following one team’s experience is certainly different from a program-wide coverage show.
Rock on! More media on FIRST is always a good thing
