What do you think is the winning strategy for this season?
Do you think we will see a simple strategic game or will we see significant strategic delivery-style methods in 2024?

Combined cycling. With coral and algae intakes on opposite sides of a robot and being able to possess 1 of each, you can intake algae while driving to the scoring zone for pretty much no time cost and get 4 points fairly easily. Defense is likely irrelevant due to multiple anti-defense rules and a poor field layout for defense.

There’s not ton of room for much more strategy, the loading zone is right next to the scoring zone so teams will just want to cycle but faster.

Scoring algae in the net is difficult

Disagree. The net is so big that very little precision is needed, and since robots will already be using an elevator, it can be used to score in the net too, with the extra height being able to be made up with a tiny bit of launching or a bit of extra height.

Not if your tall enough. The net is only ~7ft off the ground.

I’m talking more in terms of strategy and less in terms of robot structure (how an average game will end, not a game between top teams)

Probably lots of shallow climbs, absurdly high points but still close games.
