The max height after start of the game

The max height after the start of the game is 5ft right?

This is currently being discussed in many threads. There is currently no max height noted after start of the match.

G415 Expansion limits
A ROBOT may not extend more than 1 ft. 6 in. (~45 cm) beyond the vertical projection of its ROBOT PERIMETER.

I’m pretty sure this means as long as you’re in the 1.5ft range of the perimeter horzontally it’s fine, so you can go as high as you want.

This is our understanding but are scouring the threads and game manual to confirm.

My interpretation is that the expansion limit rule G415 only applies to horizontal expansion. In past years the height limit and horizontal expansion limits have also been separate.
