The National Chairman's Award...

Hello!

Team 692 was wondering if we had to do anything for Chairman’s at the Championship. This is our first year winning the Regional Chairman’s Award, so we aren’t exactly sure what’s supposed to happen when we get there. The manual says nothing about a presentation, so I’m assuming we don’t have to do it again…?

Thank you!

Actually, you will have to do it again, in front of 4 judges instead of 3. (one of which was Dean’s brother last year). There will be rooms off to the side in the GWCC where you will go to present. You do not get to pick your time I believe. This obviously can change from year to year, but I presented last year, and this is how it was then. Bottom line: YES, you will have to present!

Best of luck, and congrats on the regional chairmans!!!

Just like inthe regionals, your team will have to do a presentation: 5 minutes of presenting and five minutes for the judges to question. The judges use the same documents that you submitted in Febuary, so there is no more written work to submit.

Judges will also be comming and going throughout the pit area with follow up questions and observing your team, just like the regionals.

We pretty much do the same presentation as we did at the regionals.

Good luck and congratulations!

Allan

Thanks so much for letting us know!!

No Problem!

You may obviously want to step it up a little because you’re competing against all the other Chairman’s winners.

no matter what, stay calm and just do your best. show the judges why you’re with the other teams and you’ll be cool. don’t panic too much and good luck!

Thanks for the advice! (and hey, you don’t panic either!!)

Good luck to everyone presenting!

Thanks for all the help, everyone! And good luck!

Hi, we’re a first time chairman’s winner as well. However, we know you will have to present again. You go to pit admin thursday afternoon to get your presentation time, and then Friday morning after opening the presentations begin. You present in front of 3-4 judges this time. Good Luck to everyone presenting!
