sup to everyone out there this my first year @ first and the whole thing was great man wish we cold have done more regionals it would have been great :yikes:
but to the point
i would like to know everyones opinion on which bot they thought was the simplest one but got the job done
and also which was the most complex
in your opinion
There are many robots I haven’t seen but one of the simplest to complete the job would have to be that of your’s truly. Team 696’s very own, Heather. RAWC 968 was also a big favorite of mine, although it’s gearbox may be a little complex.

Hey, you know what? I would have loved to see 968 stack boxes, as well…
As it stands, we haven’t bothered to try stacking since the SCRRF scrimmage and migrated into a generic box shoving design – big surprise, eh? (Although, we still could have installed that box-grabbing arm back on Ginger – it’s listed on our pamphlet and slideshow as one of the robot’s “features,” believe it or not.)
Oh, and of course, 696’s robot was an innocuous and simple-looking thing, but was mad wicked fast. It was able to plow through 60’s wings in the eliminations.
But I still like the simplistic bliss of the Vato-Bot of 1116! And I’m not saying that because our team happens to be their mentor team too! Vato rules!
the most simple bot that got the job done, that i’ve seen, is most definantly 292, built like a rock and strong as a bull dozer
the most complex is either ours(16) because of our extreme use of complex gearing systems which includes 3 planetary sets and several helical sets and our double sleeved shaft, or team 111 for their 4 motor crab system
I don’t know about the simplest overall bot, but team 1089 has this small rubber mechanism that is a monster at orienting boxes. If you get the chance, check it out!
