We’re stocking both 9mm and 15mm widths - single sided and double sided.
For single sided we have every 5 teeth from 35t-200t and then every 10t from 200t-300t. For double sided we just took a guess to start but can stock others if teams want specific sizes.
We also had the first batch of swerve modules show up today & are going through the process of unpacking, kitting and checking them. The plan is to get those orders shipping out next week -
I know this is a little thing but we were having a little trouble connecting to the lasercan. Everytime we tried to connect it said “device refused connection”. Turns out all we had to do is unplug the robot radio. I saw that in a future update there are plans to be able to assign can id over ethernet/wifi but a little note in the getting started about maybe having to unplug the radio would be cool.
I will add a note to clarify on the Gitbooks page. Thanks for letting us know, and let us know if there are any additional things that would help drive clarity there!
It may not look like much, but we did get some of the first Thrifty Swerve orders out this week. About half of the pre-orders have shipped and we’ll be working to get the rest out on Monday. I appreciate everyone’s patience & support on this, we’re really happy with how they turned out and think teams are going to enjoy them quite a bit.
A module box will have each kit labeled including the motor gear type bags. Most major parts are wrapped in plastic to ensure things arrive in good condition & gears stay nice & oiled.
We prototyped some ideas using the rear screw hole on the NEO 1.1 and some other clamping methods, but always ended up back at a couple of VHB tape strips holding the controller on better than anything to the back of the motor & having the lowest profile. Will be interested in seeing what teams come up with here for solutions, I know folks on Discord were tossing some concepts around.
The CAD for this and the Griplock hub are now up on the website, and the configurable Thrifty Swerve OnShape now has a configuration for wheel type that will change the wheel in the model. Apologies for the delay here.
