Every year, the wise ones preach to “read the manual.” Yes, this true every year. But this is the year. 2025 is the year to read the entire manual.
Don’t skip to the Scoring section. Don’t skip past the rules on personal safety, tournaments, or event rules.
We’ve seen a lot of changes this year. Many of those changes were shared with the community in a tentative form, like a blog post. It is only by reading the manual that you will see all the rules, in their full form. Alliance Selection has changed. Bumper rules have changed. Regional advancement has changed. Read the manual, and know these changes.
You don’t want to be the team who shows up to the event unaware of new rules and processes and suffers. The best way to solve for this is to read the manual, cover-to-cover.
Maybe it’d be smart to have one thread dedicated to rule questions, so trivial questions that can usually be answered by just RTFM-ing won’t spam the forum.
