Safety animation begins on Oct 9. Due Dec 9th.
There will be an e-mail blast telling you where to register and submit the entry.
Info will probably be posted at the FirstBase website: http://firstbasefrc.autodesk.com/?nd=home
And please for all things sacred.
Use the safety animation as practice for the competition.
This is a very good time to make characters, models, and other stuff that you may want to use for the animation competition.
Here are a few other tips.
Talk to mentors (or experienced students) who are responsible for your team’s workshop safety .
Try to come up with a practical idea. Explosions and ninjas might be fun to animate but they don’t seem to win the safety animation award.
Don’t worry about minor details. In 2005 & 2006 we were in a panic to make the deadline so we left out any background scenery - and we won!
Think about the slogan. One year it was “Care enough to act”. We determined that means you should do something to change unsafe conditions or behavior.
Has anyone seen the rules? They were supposed to be announced today.
Nothing so far on usfirst.org
nothing on Firstbasefrc.autodesk.com that i can see.
there is information on the side of their website that says it will be updated at the end of october…
