Thunder hex for drive train

A mentor on my team suggested using thunderhex on our (WCD) drive train gearboxes. Does anyone have any experience running thunderhex for their drivetrain?

We’ve been using Thunderhex on our WCD drive train for years. No issues.

That’s good to know. Thanks for the quick reply.

Confirmed. Been using it for years. Works well.

Only issue is that it can be very slightly oversize. We find ourselves frequently sanding off the black paint.

Is the round portion of it oversized or the hex portion of it oversized?

iirc its both, but this only seems to be an issue with bearings, gears and hubs fit fine. so you only need to sand the rounded part.
