Timing belt

I am wondering how I go about placing the drive train timing belt. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I can see the timing belt (or part there of) in the KOP and i recall seeing a tutorial somewhere, but I don’t recall where. Any assistance will be appreciated.

With the KoP comes an instruction manual on how to assemble the KoP chassis in the “long” and the “wide” configuration. If you’ve lost the manual or need videos on the assembly, check this out.

Thanks but what I was referring to was how to I add the drivebelt to my Inventor drive assembly using the small section of drive belt supplied in the Inventor kit of parts. i.e. how to I create and place the belt in CAD

Matthew,

Each year I create the section of belt in the KOP but in fact it should not be placed in the Inventor assembly. Folks complain if I do not model everything!

To place belts or chains in a model use Design Accelerator. I plan on creating a webinar next week on using this. In the meantime I will check around for other tutorials.

What teams do not like is that any CAD model of a belt or chain simulates the shape. The key information such as length, type, power, etc. is all calculated, but folks like to see the belt, not the all important data.
