I’ve been having a lot of trouble with TIMS being really slow lately. Are other people experiencing this? I hope they fix it before registration opens. For me it pretty much is unusable at this point.

I also found TIMS to be a bit slow. Along with this so is VIMS. Took me over 2 hours to sign up to help at 3 FRC events.::ouch::

I hope Thursday is better
I have spent several frustrating hours in TIMS trying get our info up to date. Very, very slow. Often it is so slow, that the system kicks you off for inactivity before it even finishes refreshing the last page, which makes it unusable. I’m afraid Thursday could be a train wreck if more resources are not put on it. Perhaps they have limited resources on it until then, and will add more when needed. Let’s hope so. Obviously traffic will skyrocket on Thursday, so unless something changes, it won’t be pretty.
FIRST needs to disable the inactivity kick-off feature off. It has a 5 minute time-out which is very frustrating. This has been a problem for many years.
Discussing these issues on ChiefDelphi is comforting but not as effective as submitting bug reports on TIMS support

Sometimes it helps to let HQ know if lots of people are experiencing problems. I would suggest contacting [email protected].
I wrote them, and they will be looking into the issue.
I spent 2 hours trying to update our new sponsors. We have 4 new ones and it took that 2 hours to get 2 of them into the system. I tried again in the later hours when I figured it wouldn’t be as busy, it is still not working correctly. I had my husband try on his computer and it kicked him out. I am going to try again later tonight around 10 or so. I hope they have this taken care of by the 1st otherwise that site will crash.
For me it doesn’t seem to matter what time of day I try to work with it, it is unusable even in the middle of the night.
