Tipped Bots Thread

Ah, yes. Thank you, Smithers.

5260 tipped over at Kettering while on an alliance with us. Although at the time I wasn’t laughing, it is pretty hilarious now.

@1:20

I don’t know if this counts as tipping but close enough…

They even had levitate. No need to climb at all.

Just… this:

They still got the ranking point since it was after the match had ended, but man that third robot caused just enough of a collision for this to occur.

At Palmetto there was a double fall as robots from each alliance were trying to climb:

Lucky that the “helping” robot’s bumper rode up over the bumper of the machine about to face-plant, helping to right it.

If that hadn’t happened, it seems like that effort would likely have gone the other way, by rotating the falling robot further clockwise.

Actually I was able to right 141 using our intake, major props to my operator for raising it quick enough! We’re glad it all worked out! Good luck to all teams with staying upright!

Nice tip at 1:08 and then a self recovery at 1:20. Impressive!

In qualifier 34 of the Central New York Regional 191 tipped over immediately after auto and 340 quickly picked them back up with our elevator and we went on to win the match.

What was the end result? A ton of penalties, disqualification? Stop the match?
It looks pretty clear that the match wouldn’t really proceed as a “normal”. (I’m mean yes it would still run, but did the other team just ignore the scale at that point?)

My personal favorite from the weekend: 340 using their lift to right 191 after auto at CNY.

Looks like it even got a standing ovation from Frank!

They also were granted a Yellow card.

I have been sent these two clips by fellow FIRSTers:

Firs link is an ALMOST tip. Second is HOT (67) actually tipping but getting back up again in amazing fashion.

Love these clips

Not quite tipped but certainly askew. Only cost one penalty. About the 1:10 mark.
