To Ian W. About My Thread Which was CLOSED BEFORE I COULD REPLY!

So if I told you that a roaming Tyrannosaurus has smashed a Volkswagon Bug and a person had broken their neck around the corner, you would still run around that corner thinking it was real?

Wow, you’re gullible!

Let’s be serious here. I’m not an idiot, and until you posted this, I didn’t think you were either. If someone told me there was a car accident around the corner, or something that was believable, then i went to try and help, and realzied that it was all a ‘joke’, i would be very annoyed, to say the least. If you think it is a joke to make fun of people getting hurt, i think you should really see a doctor. I know that sometimes people make jokes about people getting hurt, but like a T-rex attacking a car, they are in no way believeable, so i don’t mind it. Now, while your thread was semi-believable, many people weren’t sure what was going on.

now, i know at one regional, one person went crowd surfing, and was almost killed. if you want to make fun of him, i think you have problems. another injuring not to make light of. at nats, sat night, me and my team went to the pool at the hotel, and there were several other teams there. someone had a ball, and things began to get out of hand. eventually, one team who had a lot of big kids began throwing people around. well, two of them took a senior on my team, and lifted him out of the water, and dropped hikm back in, head first. now, if it was in the deep end, it would have just been annoying, but it happened in the shallow end. in short, the kid on my team smacked his head on the pool bottom, and had to be lifted out of the pool, and immobalized, because everyone thought his neck might have been broken. luckily, there was someone who was a nurse or doctor at the pool who came over right away. if not, i would have gone over to try and help. basically, he was taken to the hospital, and we wound up VERY lucky, and he was all fine, just a little shaken.

let’s say i came to your house and said your mother and father were driving home, and their car went off a cliff, and they both died. would you say, ha ha, and ignore me? while i might think you freaking out is hilarious, you would be in a state of emotional shock. then, if i told you it was all a ‘joke’, would you start laughing too? i doubt it, in fact, i wouldn’t be surprised if you hit me.

all in all, this is just to tell you that if your going to be an idiot, please don’t be an idiot here. i don’t like it when people joke about bad things, because like when the boy cried wolf, when it’s really true, it’s still just a ‘joke’. so please, rasie yourself to the intellegence of everyone else here, or just at least stop posting your idea of jokes.

Ok, I’m not an idiot. I know where you’re coming from, and I think that it is reasonable to take offense to a “rumor” that discribes something that could have happened in real life. I recognize that. I’m not making fun of anyone getting injured in real life. I think it’s unfortunate that people can act in an extremely irresponsible way and people get hurt. So if I had written something about a person breaking their neck on the Rockin’ Rollercoaster, or having a limb mangled in an accident with their robot I could agree that I went too far. All the events you said happened would sound plausible if they were written about as a rumor.

But for goodness sake, the post was about AN EXPERIMENTAL GOVERNMENT CHAMBER CAPABLE OF PRODUCING EXTREME GRAVITATIONAL FIELDS THAT WAS MISTAKEN FOR A PARTY DEVICE! Now, if there was some kind of incident where the CIA lost track of some alien technology and if was running amok and hurting people, it would be different.

So tell me about an event that dealt with classified government technology being handed into the hands of civilians and accidentally hurting people and I will say I took it too far.

Don’t make me break thi quarrel up!
U two should really quit while u r ahead and shake hands:D

This is not a public matter.
Cool it, and take it to a chat room or AIM or something.
