Too many relays!

This year, our team has too many solenoids to handle on the relay bank of the Roborio - we currently have five, and the Roborio legally can only control four.

What do people recommend here? Ganging up devices on a single spike is not allowed, in my understanding. Can you run a spike off of PWM? I’d rather not put another speed controller on.

Thanks!

  1. Switch to single solenoids, you probably don’t need double solenoids.
  2. Add a second PCM

Does this help?

Electric solenoids can also be connected to PCM outputs-one per channel.
