What tools do you wish existed that would make your life easier building robots or whatever that you would think would exist but don’t seem to?
For me it would be a good folding multi-tool for my belt/pocket but with a diagonal cutter or flush cuts instead of the standard pliers. I seem to have more need for cutting things like small wire, zip-ties, etc. than I need to grip things with less than ideally designed “needle nose” pliers on the variety of multi-tools I have tried. I tend to keep a pair of the cheapo flush cutters handy but their sharp point makes them ill-suited to stick in my pocket. I would LOVE to find a folding pair of diagonal cutters or flush cutters or a multi-tool with said instead of “pliers” but alas my quest continues unfulfilled.
What tool or handy dandy gizmo do you long for in your shop that would make your like better that you can’t seem to source?

They aren’t flush cutters, but they’re always on my keys. The scissors are always more useful to me than pliers. The only downside is that I invariably forget they’re on my keyring and have to throw them away at TSA checkpoints.
A Percussive Tool of FRC Manual Knowledge would be handy. Hit someone with it and they instantly understand the rule, why it exists, and that their crazy idea is in violation of 5 separate rules.
Not exactly robot related, but I’d like to cut and trim Cat5/6 cable and crimp an RJ45 connector with one click, without me needing to separate the wires. There are like 600 tools to help with this, and I hate them all.
It’s one of those “you get good when you do it 500 times a day” skills and I need to do it just infrequently enough that I’m horrible at it yet also extremely frustrated.
