If you need the conversion for you control system… well put “1” in one side and then multiple by the answer on the other side.

I prefer not to have to rely on a program that I have to download, since I move computers a lot. Both my graphing calculators have unit conversions, or if you don’t have a graphing calculator but do have internet access, you can use this http://www.onlineconversion.com/torque.htm

I would also point out that the Google Calculator works very well for unit conversion if you have internet access easily available:

http://www.calculator.org/ has a free version of Calc 98, a little Windows-style calculator that has about every conversion I can think of. They also have an on-line version, but it is new and doesnt have the full features. Key in a value, click UNITS, then select the FROM and TO units. It even converts from pennyweights to scruples and other useful units. How nice. I believe it is from Great Britian, so some terms are a bit obscure.

a TI graphing calculator does unit conversions.

You really shouldn’t really say “tourque converter” because that is a car part. It basicaly a clutch for automatic transmisions.

I prefer www.convert-me.com for all my conversion needs. However, they recently began using a couple popup ads. But, the popup blocker in my Google tool bar takes care of them nicely.
